For the past 40+ years as a graphic designer, I have contributed to the growth and success of several different organizations which has given me an extensive background in a variety of media and managerial skills.
EXPERIENCE & MILESTONES ACHIEVED
After receiving my bachelor's degree in comprehensive art, I started out as a paste-up artist with the local newspaper and supervised the evening crew; returned to school to continue my educational skills in computer design; created publication designs for six years; package design and trained employees in a graphics company for four years; designed and coded websites for two companies which led to a position as internet/print manager for the local chamber of commerce. I relocated to my hometown where I created quality control between the customer service, prepress and press departments in an international print packaging company; developed prepress design materials for a variety of businesses and colleges as an indepentant contractor; and recently set-up and managed a printshop for a large church.
I have a zest for learning new things and an attitude to surpass the expectations of my employers. My extensive knowledge and use of design software has developed into a strong troubleshooting tool for prespress (vinyl, digital offset, silkscreen and internet).
